Shingle Colors and Warranties
Whether your greatest challenge is making up your mind between the beautiful lifetime warranted laminated architectural style shingles versus the 25 year warranted standard 3 tab design, or selecting a color that is going to work with your existing overhang and wall colors, or any new colors you might choose for your home down the road, we will make choosing easier for you.
New underlayment and shingle choices are quite varied, so it becomes easy to feel overwhelmed when you consider all of your options stacked on top of one another. We realize that and we will make sure that everyone in your household involved in the choices feels comfortable with the selections before we go any further.
Shingle Manufacturers
The materials we will use are produced by manufacturers well known for the quality of their products, and unlike some of the big names on television selling roofing products, we do not use the slightly irregular shingles and we certainly will not use the “third runs” often sold by warehouse type operations where a couple of dollars savings is considered more important than how your new roof looks in your neighborhood. The GAF Timberline laminated architectural is our most popular shingle. We also have GAF Royal Sovereign 3 tab shingles. Certainteed offers a competitive version similar to each of these. Owens Corning shingles are available if you like, but we generally do not use Tamko shingles.
Roof and Attic Ventilation and Accessories
You get to decide if you want “the works” with colored metal drip edge, new roof jacks where pipes penetrate the roof, new Whirlybird style attic turbine vents, ridge vents, electric attic vents, skylights and other accessories. Sometimes people just want the most basic roof job they can get that will keep everything inside dry and protected. We respect your budget and will do it exactly the way you want it done.
